Book Review: Prophetic Warrior by Emma Stark

Blog, Faith-Based Books

It’s been a long time since I read a book that changed my life in profound ways. I really believe it was the timing of God though. I saw this book shared by a Christian peer of mine, Kristi Olson, and the name of the book was Prophetic Warrior, by Emma Stark. I have never heard of Emma Stark, and to be honest, if you have read any posts from the past few years, anyone really connected to God was NOT on my radar.

It’s not that I had lost my faith, but I had lost my way a bit after Brandon died, and it took a while to process the loss. That’s part of my story though. God was beginning to move in my life during this time of finding the book, and I totally believe it was a gentle nudge from God as a few other things were lining up and bringing restoration to my life.

I do believe God is in the miracle-making business. I had lost sight of that. What moved me MOST about Prophetic Warrior is the realization that as a daughter of the King, I’ve been given authority and power to live in the dominion of all areas of my life. “For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ”. II Corinthians 10:3-5. (ESV)

The author and prophetess, Emma Stark, has a nice story-telling approach, as she weaves the truth from God’s Word, sharing how we can live a deeper walk with God and utilize spiritual gifts we’ve have been given not only to walk a victorious life ourselves, but to share the Gospel of Christ to break strongholds and see miracles happen in others.

This book came into my life at a crucial time for me personally. I’m recommending it to all our church members. See, until WE can see ourselves as living victorious because of the work of Christ, how can we share HOPE with anyone else?

I highly recommend this book, especially to those who desire to experience a Christ-Centered life and experience a more Holy-Spirit-led faith. You can find Prophetic Warrior on Amazon.
