My real journey to find essential oils for emtional supp
My journey to find essential oils for emotional support began as I found myself really stressed out as a nurse. I started using essential oils several years before I started looking for essential for emotional support.
My passion for oils started over 20 years ago when I was making soap and over the years I’ve focused on using the best oils for emotional health. My first essential oils came in a soap kit and from there my passion grew to know more and more about oils. At the time I started using essential oils, I knew there was a difference between fragrance oils and real oils. As time went on, I began to take classes and then teach classes about the benefits of pure essential oils.

My interest in oils started with support for physical issues but progressed to support for emotional health. My go-to book for information on the emotional properties of oils is Essential Emotions. I’ve kept an updated copy of this book for 12 years now. It’s been very helpful as I’ve learned what oils offer the best support where I am emotionally for the day.

I’ve experienced her oils and I can highly recommend the quality of her oils and the love and attention that goes into every order. She also has skincare products and the face cream is wonderful. She uses high-quality hydrosol instead of plain distilled water. It’s such a nice aroma without adding artificial fragrances.
Honest and Pure uses only organic and wildcrafted pure oils, so you know you are getting a pure quality oil. She has really nice descriptions of her quality processes.
When I think of the best essential oils for emotional health, Lavender is the first oil that comes to my mind. It offers relaxing and calming support. I’ve experienced the lavender from Honest and Pure, and it’s very lovely.
Another one of the best essential oils for emotional health comes with the citrus oil line. Citrus oils are all uplifting and Orange Oil is uplifting and balancing. I use orange oil frequently at work, especially in the mornings at work. I have a diffuser that plugs into the computer that I got on Amazon for about $20.00. (We have to have all-electric devices checked out at work, and honestly, it’s a hassle. So I found that this one is nice so I don’t have to worry about whether it’s approved or not. I’ve used a waterless diffuser before and it delivers the oils into the air in their most natural state.
I use oils and herbs to help support my emotional health. When I went to Europe in 2016, the course I studied was so awesome. It was an Aromatic Palliative care program. I found the oils I learned in that program very helpful to me when I was going through my grieving process after losing Brandon. I used Lavender and a Rose Otto combination. Rose is very supportive of those grieving.
Another type of emotional support help is using essential oils for grounding. These are usually tree oils with deep roots because they are so deeply grounding. Grounding oils by far are my absolute FAVORITE! I’m a type-A personality and I get sidetracked easily. I find that grounding oils are my jam! There is a great oil called COURAGE, which is full of very nice deeply rooted tree oils. I like to use grounding oils best by diffusing them.
To sum it up, the best essential oils for emotional health on a basic level are for upliting, relaxing, and grounding. Getting deeper into using oils for emotional health you will find that they can help you in the process of releasing deep emotions. To start with though, try some of the oils I mentioned. I like to get oils I won’t use every day in a 5-ml size. If you get a big bottle and don’t use it often, the oils can oxidate. I do purchase larger sizes (15-ml) for oils I use frequently.
I love how God created these gifts for us to use. Ezekial 47:12 says: “And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fails, but they will bear fresh fruit every month because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.” ESV Bible.
Thank you for taking the time to learn with me. I’m a wellness coach and I focus on emotional health and how it affects all areas of our lives.
