God is my SEO

Authentically Joycelynn, Blog

I’ve thought about this blog post for a few weeks now. I spent so much time preparing content and making sure I had my hashtags right to reach the people I wanted my message to reach. I wanting to make sure the keywords were on point to reach the people I wanted my message to reach. Then God just stopped me and said, I’m Your SEO. Just get the message out and I will make sure the people who need to hear it are reached.

If you don’t know what SEO is, it stands for Search Engine Optimization. SEO is a marketing strategy to help your odds of being found in search engines. It helps improve ranking so that people find you and your content. I’ve been very good at this in the past. I had blog articles that ranked #1 in the Google search engines before. Those articles were connected to products I was talking about that could be found for purchase on Amazon. I made thousands of dollars with that blog because of the purchases people made on Amazon.

I’m still an Amazon affiliate and whenever I highlight a product that can be found on Amazon, I can get a very small commission (I mean VERY small) from products people purchase if they went through my link. I have a few products I am an affiliate for a few products now and when people purchase those products it helps with the expense related to having a blog/website.

To rank in the search engines, a lot of research goes into using the best keywords and tags within your blog. On sites like Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, using the right hashtags can help people find you who are interested in some of the things you may be talking about or promoting.

There is nothing wrong with using hashtags, tags, and keywords. When your faith is in your hashtags, tags, and keywords to get your message out to your audience therein lies the problem in the Kingdom of God. If you cannot trust GOD to get your message out to those HE is intending it for, there is a bigger problem than your keyword deficiency.

God has given me a message to share and that is one of hope and overcoming in the Kingdom of God. The message is to empower believers to live whole in the Kingdom of God. He has given me the message of wellness in the Body of Christ. Part of my living whole is to rest in HIM.

Matthew 11:28-30 tells us to “come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart: and you will find rest. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”.

It’s not that I haven’t concentrated on SEO before. I have. I know how to do it. I became more focused on the right words, it took the attention off the message for me in the process. My time is a little limited right now. One day as I was praying over this, God told me to stop worrying about it. I heard Him say in my spirit HE was my SEO. This took the biggest weight off of me.

Is there anything you are carrying that you just need to give to GOD? He wants to make our burdens lighter. In the past few weeks, I’ve downsized my email list. I’m doing things that lighten the load. This is part of wellness. Deciding exactly where to spend your time and energy.

What things do you need to let go of to make room for the best God has for you?

Be Well,

Joycelynn
